"...or so the dealership swears. My buddy just picked up his Evo this week, and his salesman said that he sold a Lightning Yellow Evo VIII to the Washington State Patrol. For those of you aware, the WSP is on heavy emphasis patrols lately, nabbing aggressive drivers and street racers with undercover cars that you'd never suspect (Volvos, pickup trucks, etc.). The Evo was said to be for their "Street Racing Task Force." I'm aware that the whole thing is very anecdotal, but nevertheless, be very conscious of yellow Evos in Washington state. "

of "aggressive" drivers would plummet. Why is that such a hard concept for those pea brains to grasp?

Besides, they have *quotas* to fulfill. Can't wait to drive SAFELY again at UNLIMITED SPEEDS on Germany's Autobahn's, with the respect & education of european drivers! If the U.S. had the same intense driver's educaction as the europeans, this whole topic would be moot. But the government seems to always know best...

In Ireland it is really terrible, on our few motorways people have no concept of lane discipline...and aggressive driving is a all too common sight...plus dangerous overtaking, mind you our roads completely suck...
The standard in Germany and the UK is excellent though...and that comes from driver education...it is a absolute joy to drive in those country's...
Yea having Policing and Quotas mixed together is a terrible policy...it's seems to be all about money and not genuine safety these days which is very sad...hopeflly someone in power sees the light...

As far as I know, it's true... very scary. My buddy said his salesman told him he sold it to the WSP.
I am beyond pissed off about this. I think it's abusive and unreasonable. Damn reactionary legislature and WSP. You can't blame them for wanting to fill the holes in their budget, but this is out of control.

White Cameroon SS with a late 30's early 40's something balding dude driving up I-5 @ 50-55 in the passing lane with a CADZILLION cars backed up behind him. No antennas or lights visable.
It took me from just North of the weigh station above Mt Vernon to the North Lake Samish exit to work my way up to him. When I got behind him I flashed my headlights at him and dropped back a few more car lengths. He ignored me so after another half mile I closed to 3-4 car lengths and flashed him again. He pulled over at that point but then as I went past him he sped up to hang on my right rear qtr . .effectively keeping me from seeing him clearly and keeping me from merging back to the right lane. I sped up more and so did he. I slowed and so did he. I finally dropped into 3rd and rang it up to 85ish to get past him, signaled, pulled into the driving lane and lifted throttle. He popped on the behind the grill lights and wrote me for 'following to close' and speeding. In speaking with a local lawyer it turns out the same 'tactic' is cited by other's that 'car' has popped.
