How about any other possible job for a hard working individual that doesn't require much $.

Unfortunately the job market in Seattle is bad and still getting worse, especially in high-tech but also generally across the whole economy. Only the Portland/Salem Oregon area is worse. I have a friend that will soon reach 2 years of unemployment and he's got 14 years of engineering/programming experience. Sure you might be able to find a part-time job at Wal-Mart or McDonalds but with the high cost of living you'll be hard-pressed to make ends meet.

I am sure that things here will eventually turn around, they always do, but don't expect it until 2005 or so (according to the Seattle P-I).

muvment, I hope you have other reasons to be moving here, not just because you believe there are plenty of good job opp'tys.

Living here is expensive too so plan on having a roomate or two.

I got an apartment in the city for $400/month. I can live w/ very little $, but unfortunately, my largest expense is my audi. In the last six months,i got my degree and CCNA, i'mnot ready to starve. Guess I'll move to NYC instead.

No, i don't think so. My CCNA was boring enuff, i'm pretty much done w/ computers. 5 years to get a degree and 6 months to wish i hadn't. I'm going to law school.
