I really meant how affordable someone who's giving up their spot would be able to make it for me. i.e. cut me a deal on it since they'd be losing money anyway... (i.e. take pity on my lack of resources) *hehe*

It's not likely as I'd still have to get a helmet and such. but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I know about the details of the event though.
