Anyone want to do the auto-X in Bremerton for Sunday Oct 13? Cost is $20 for non-members. Plan to arrive around 7:00 - 7:30 AM. So far I think one other audi and my friends jetta are planning a caravan from Seattle.

directions

if not "Novice"? I'm thinking it's time for me to move out of Novice but I believe a chipped car w/modified boost gets categorized all the way to Modified (can somebody confirm this?), where we would get creamed. I would like to move to Street Tire class, so I may have to run stock chip if I do so.
FWIW, a 1.8 A4 is capable of winning Novice at most events (even in the dry)! I've done it once and a friend has done same. good luck!

I ran novice the first two times, once stock, and once chipped. I still lost to some modded WRX's in the novice class though.

"9.70 MEDIUM SEDAN Cars such as and similar to: BMW 318/320/2002, Vega, Pinto, Mustang II, Mazda RX-2/3/4, VW Rabbit/Scirocco, Neon, Subaru WRX, Audi TT (NA) VW Beatle, Lexus IS300, cars and trucks with engines 1600 cc to 3000 cc."

"9.20 NOVICE Any entrant who has driven in no more than two (2) autocrosses may initially enter the novice class regardless of vehicle class. Any novice entrant may remain in novice class until he/she trophies in class for a calendar year. At this point, the entrant is no longer eligible for novice class. No novice entries will run on race tires or purpose-built autocross tires: i.e., A008R/HOOSIER or similar "R" compound."

i looked through the entry lists in the previous few local events (wwscc.org)and couldn't find a class for 'medium sedan'. Perhaps this is a regional version but identical to the "Stock A/B/C/D" classes, but if so, my car wouldn't be eligible for Stock anyway due to my mods in addition to the chip, albeit mild mods.
