Hello folks. My first post here.
I'm thinking about moving on from my Subaru Forester to an A4 Avant. Done on all the research (endless evenings of internet geekery).

I'm looking at an 06 Avant with around 60k kms from a Toronto dealership. CPO. My question is... is it necessary to have an independent pre-purchase inspection done?

Does it make sense to buy the Audicare maintenance package at this point?

And finally, can I ask to have certain vagcom changes done - e.g. turning off seatbelt warning?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Andy

They may or may not disclose to you that the car was in a shunt, for example.
Independant inspection will probably pick that up, and you can then use that as a bargaining tool or to walk away.

Get all the warranties you can afford!

Dealers won't disable anything that they think is a safety issue or against the law.
For example, DRL are not required by law in Ontario for used vehicles, but you try convincing the dealer otherwise!
