I recently took off my plastic plate cover to update my annual sticker. The problem was the bolts seemed to have corroded onto the metal brackets that are part of the rear cover behind the plate. the bolts just spun and spun without comming lose. I tried wd-40 but not luck. I ended up having to pull the plate off wtih force and now two of the metal brackets are missing on the right side. I therefore have nothing for the bolts to thread into on the right side. I tried to take the plastic license plate bracked off but even after removing the two hex screws it seems like it's glued on. Any how, anyone know where i can get a b5 a4 or s4 rear plate holder? sorry for the long winded post.

... lots of two sided tape and it was very hard to remove. If you can avoid removing it, I would. Plate holder was something like $100 bux too. I will look up the part number at home if you still want it.

My plastic cover is held with plastic screws... I guess now I know why.

the same type of adhesive that holds on the audi emblem and other badging. It comes off without much fuss, especially if you warm it up a bit.

I rebuilt the metal brackets that hold the nuts in place. It is an incredibly cheap design that Audi used.
