Unless they can claim that you are forgetful/irresponsible, lol

They only care about things that could potentially end up costing them -- I don't see how your insurance could be made to pay if you forgot your paperwork at home.

Just bring proof that you were insured at the time the ticket was issued.

The possibility exists that you forget your office keys at home and would be forced to use your car to ram the office front door to get in. Probably to retrieve you divorce papers you forgot of the wife you did not remember you had the night before... But that might be a stretch...

Who knows what insurance companies come up with in order to justify their evaluation of risk.
