Put the link in the link box. Put a title for the link (whatever you want) in the Link Title box. That's always worked for me. Just as a test, I'll put something in for a link, with "Link Test" as the title.<ul><li><a href="http://www.a4.org/forum/">Link Test</a></li></ul>
