As of now, you can also add CPO warranty. maaliish 02-27-2008, 01:33 PM koz4.2 02-27-2008, 04:32 PM SMO 02-27-2008, 04:38 PM koz4.2 02-27-2008, 04:43 PM afretes 02-27-2008, 04:51 PM SMO 02-28-2008, 03:10 AM maaliish 02-28-2008, 07:37 AM koz4.2 02-28-2008, 08:38 AM maaliish 02-28-2008, 08:48 AM exact reasons and now its paid off so I figured that I might want to trade it in and lease the new S4. maaliish 02-28-2008, 08:50 AM technically its not owned by me? Any ideas? Would you estimate that S5 will be priced above or below the S4? afretes 02-28-2008, 09:45 AM maaliish 02-28-2008, 10:52 AM S4sposeur 02-28-2008, 08:19 PM you have to buy an SUV to get full deduction and technically it has to be a truck not a passenger truck. The fact is that leasing costs more than using your own financing if your credit is good EXCEPT that the tax situation is biased in favour of leasing due to the limits on deductibility. You pay the same whether the residual is high or low if you plan on buying out your lease. The trick is to buy a category 10.1 car on lease and also have the residual just above the limit for category 10.1 when you buy it out. That way you should be able to continue the maximum CCA deduction and never have to worry about RECAPTURE! koz4.2 02-28-2008, 09:43 PM of course, so that you can't deduct the full amount of the lease on your new A8W12. It still makes sense to pay for as much of the car with your company's money first, and then pay a smaller residual with after tax money you've paid yourself. Koz. S4sposeur 03-01-2008, 05:55 PM the business expense has to be claimed in the same way and is subject to the same limits. A business cannot just decduct passenger car expenses and neither can an individual. You can only deduct the portionn actually attributabe to business use and the CCA is strictly limited. SMO 03-02-2008, 12:34 PM 1) If you lease a car and deduce it as a business expense, then it's pre-tax money. 2) If you lease a car personally (ie. not related to any business), then you pay for it with after-tax money. Comparing the two, it's of course better to lease the car through the business. maaliish 03-03-2008, 06:55 AM |
