Give me a TT roadster with a low weight, manual tranny and high power 4cyl turbo. That'd be a nice car for Audi to market, go head to head with the Z4 M Roadster.

Skip the new RS6... right... People who can afford the RS6, usually have a weekend toy to play with. And if you dont like the large heavy uber power vehicles, then why are you getting a small, heavy, underpowered TT?? Why not rock the lotus elise or exiege (sp)?

Why did I suggest a sportier TT, well I would prefer to maintain some level of usefulness in the car. An Elise or Exige (as cool as they are) aren't much in the way of road cars.

As much as I hate it also, Audi needs to play this game also as there's a market for it in the end. And if there's a market for it they will build it. Look at the Q7 #s, they have been selling really well.

Look at the new M3 that's coming out a year too late. Even they mentioned that they stepped away from the inline-6 to the V8 and 400hp because of the competition like the RS4.

I understand marketing forces and such. And I'll drool over the RS6 when it arrives. But I'd get much more enthusiastic about something else.

Which is why I'd like to see Audi do something with a TSI 5 cyl or something.

But displacement and cylinders seem to sell cars, as BMW has basically admitted to. Not that they're not responsible for the current trends, they did make the 1st step with a V10 in a sedan afterall.

if I recall, VW had it's hands in it and Audi is pretty adamant, only recently though, that it wants to avoid sharing engines with VW now.

Too bad. I miss my old 5 cyl Audi 100.

She was under powered and was in pretty rough shape at the end, but the motor still ran strong and had a great sound.

That may be a reason for the seemingly large gaps.

Just look at the fit between the front bumper and the front fenders.

I think I managed to get that 5000S up to about 135-140km and that was it. And it took forever to get to that speed.

Nothing like a turbo to fix that problem!
