Purple fluid leak [Archive] - AudiWorld Forums

Hi All,

My first time posting here... just found this forum.

My 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro starting leaking a purple fluid -- on passenger side near front. Any ideas what it is? I'm going to schedule a service call tomorrow and won't be driving it till I find out what the leak is.

i was poking my head under my car and saw the same thing. It looks purple, but i'm sure it's coolant. Let us know what it was when you get it back from the shop, cuz i may have the same problem...

Mystery solved -- it WAS washer fluid from the headlight washer. It took Audi Service 2 days to figure it out... too bad they didn't listen to me when I told them the leak was near the FRONT of the car.

I'm relieved it was something minor, but still a bit annoyed that it took 2 days to figure out -- especially when I told them where the leak was...

OK... all done venting... feel better now ;-)
