What's now generally recommended for a good handling high performance summer tire with SOME tread life (yes, I want it all!!!) ??? It's for a daily driver that I drive moderately hard.

View Full Version : Summer high performance tires?!?!?!? Tominizer 04-14-2005, 07:15 AM What's now generally recommended for a good handling high performance summer tire with SOME tread life (yes, I want it all!!!) ??? It's for a daily driver that I drive moderately hard. Distinct 04-14-2005, 07:35 AM It doesn't have the grip of something like a Bridgestone S03, but the noise, comfort and tread life are all very high. These are relatively cheap too compared to some other summer high performance tires. oggie_s 04-14-2005, 10:21 AM One of the top 3 tires (other top 2 - S-03 and Pilot Sports). has the best thread life, the best in wet. Almost as good as the other two in dry. sidewall a bit softer than the other two - must keep the pressure up at all times to protect rims... pricey, but the best bang for the buck at this level... Azenis tires tend to get very noisy. Another tire that i would recommend is Toyo Proxes T1-R... good value as well and one of the lightest tires in the bunch... IF you want to save some money and dont care about maximum performance, take a look at Falken lineup...
