I put a GIAC chip in my 97 way back in 2001. Is there a software/firmware upgrade for the chip and if so where can I get it?

You in as well, given yr busy schedule?

check above version and get the update here

lobo90210ca 08-19-2004, 10:57 AM How do I find the version ? Is it indicated on the chip? Kirk 08-19-2004, 11:06 AM ... there will be a sticker on the chip with the version number on it. You'll have to pull the ECU box and open the box up to find the chip. If you bought the chip yourself, the version might be on your invoice. If you know where the chip came from, you could try call the vendor up to see if they have it on thier records. If you got the chip from AWE, they include free lifetime updates so just send the ECU back to them and tell them to give you the latest update. If your car drives fine and not throwing codes, I'd leave good enough alone. The chip for your car hasn't gone through any develpment recently.
