Check the link below. Looks like they are selling less than 50 per month here. Makes me want one even more!

http://www.audiworld.com/news/02/080102b/</a

too much of a niche vehicle. Its an A6 2.7T wagon with adjustable suspension and different body work. Seeing as no SUV or cross over vehicles see any real off road action, I can see how if never took off. North America is not ready for $70 - $80 off-roading wagons just yet. Although I see quite a few Volve Cross Countries... but those are just awd, jacked up normal wagons.

I'm rambling so I'll stop.

Well you can't get the 2.7T engine in the A6 Avant... and that is obviously a kick ass engine if you want that sized wagon. Also, the allroad is quite capable of doing heavy duty off road activity if called upon. I agree that most people never take it that far, but it could probably hold up better than supposed competitors.

It is a niche vehicle and that's one of the reasons I like it I guess.

But I'll still take an RS 6 Avant as a first choice :-)

and that Audi was unwilling to spend the money on such a low production car. I hope I'm wrong but that's what I heard.

I didn't know that you can't get the 2.7T in the A6 wagon. It really is a beast of an engine and a shame that some K03 failures tarnished it's image.

people dont know how to drive a turbo car - especially hard.. the turbo needs to warm up & cool down - I dont push my car past 1/3 throttle it the oil temp is below 90 - and I dont have a turbo..
