Alright... he's the start of my thread for VIR pics. In total I shot well over 1300 pics over the two days and sorting through was/is an eye blurring process.
Some folks I got only a couple shots, some I got a ton of. As I go through and process what I think are the best of each car, I'll post them below this thread by car # (and name if I know who it is.)
I'm processing them down into a manageable size, but if you want access to the high res and even raw photos that have been unedited (some are blurring or overexposed or missing half the car) just let me know. If you don't have a high speed connection (or a boss at work that doesn't look kindly on 50MB, 80MB or even 100MB downloads) I can burn onto a CD and send them to you, just email me with an address.
If you like and enjoy the pics, a small donation (tax deductible even) to my hike fund is HUGELY appreciated! Just click the link in my sig and its all done online.
You were just too fast for me to get! This is everything I got of you. Last one is cut off, but kinda cool for some odd reason. :) I was only out for one Red session.
had not slipped one time the whole event. I was getting faster and faster on my exit speeds out of T17. This time, when the car began to push too far when tracking out, I lifted. The back end kicked out to the left, I corrected (but did not get back in the throttle quick enough). My correction ended up being an over-correction, whipping the back end around to the right, through the clay, and into the tires. Did you notice the silver S4 off on the other side at the same time? My instructor was pretty pissed we got no signal from the flag worker, as there was a good chance I would have gone off straight and hit him.
Not much damage, and a good learning experience. Sorry for closing down the track to clean up my mess.

I was really happy and surprised at the potential of the S4. I can't wait to get a BBK so I can push my brake points a bit. 2 track events and my Carbotech XP 12s are trashed, almost to the metal:) They stop unbelievably well but longevity is certainly not there strong point:)

Carbotechs tend to wear faster, but are easier on rotors.
Something like a PFC01 or Hawk HT14 would last longer. Email me if you need more info :)

Hey -- yeah, I was in the silver s4. Pretty much the same circumstances -- I felt it getting pretty slick before hogpen. In the turn, I lifted for a second and just started sliding off the track. I decided to suck it up and straighten out to avoid spinning.
I was waiting to get back on the track, and the friggin' flag man was just standing there doing nothing. Never even acknowledged the fact that I was there.
I was pretty shocked when I saw you come down -- was pretty crazy looking from my perspective (looking up the hill with you coming right at me)-- you were completely sideways until you punched the gas and spun. I had a camera mount, but unfortunately I didn't have the camera that run. Wish I had, as it would have been some "great" footage for both of us.
Glad you were ok, and that it won't cost you too much to fix.

Really should not be that big a deal and surprisingly, the bumper is just fine.
