I had to post something for my "once-a-year" post.

When do the caravans start to organize? I spoke with Mat and he mentioned something about heading down with some folks from Manassas...

The short of it is, you are given an opportunity to drive your car at the speeds you (and your instructor) feel comfortable with on a racetrack.

The audi club is a good group to run with because they aren't very aggressive, they have a high emphasis on safety, they use some of the better instructors in the region.

The main thing you need to do to your car is have fresh brake pads and brake fluid. A 100% stock car is best to start out with, you don't *need* mods to have fun at the track.

they sign up and keep in contact with Marc Nguyen. He'll know if they'll be able to attend at the last moment or not.

I haven't seen you at the track in a year now. IWe'll see if you count after your first run session. :-P

I'd prefer to leave around 10-11am. Drive down leisurely so ricers *coughredciviccough* can keep up, check in at the hotel, prep our cars for tech.
