My '97 1.8T is at the dealer right now, he suspects that the turbo wastegate rod is broken. As it and the turbo are one unit, I'll be getting a new turbo.<p>Car feels normal putzing around town, but feels really sluggish at freeway speeds or when you really stomp on the pedal. The car is still driveable, just slow.
