Euro front plate or no front plate?

no front plate to a cop. :-)

though it really does depend cop to cop, some might be cool with it, others might be hardasses

No front plate, could = fell off, just got the car, haven't gotten around to putting it on yet, bla bla bla.

Euro front plate pretty much = You aren't running an MD front plate, and despite the law, you have no intention of running a front plate....ever.

I don't necessarily agree with the law itself, and obviously most of us here don't, but I can't discredit a cop for doing his job.

That petition isn't going to do anything, and if I had to guess, I'd say most states that currently don't require running front tags, will require it. I highly doubt anyone is moving in the opposite direction.

...aside from looks is pedestrian safety. All countries in Europe have enacted safety standars with regards to pedestrian safety during a collision. US plates, by virtue of their size and attachment method, greatly increase the risk to pedestrians......

I see your point, but I doubt it would be enough to overturn it stateside.

So a Euro plate should maybe make them happy in that sense. Also, at least with a Euro plate you've got something upfront instead of blatantly disregarding the law by not having anything in the front.

So I think no plate is better than a euro plate if you don't want to get stopped by police. Keep the front tag in the trunk as you are probably going to the dealer to have it properly installed. Sometime front tags fall off and not everone is mechanically talented enough to put them back on themselves!

Think they'd still fall for it since I already have holes in my front bumper?
