Long story short, my first beater got totaled by my buddy. After a HUGE struggle and 2 1/2 weeks with Geico, they finally gave me a check for the car. The adjuster never returned phone calls or emails. Well, it's been a week and the wrecked POS was still sitting in my driveway. Fine, the car was driveable and I kept the key until they were supposed to come tow it away.

Naturally, the stupid adjuster never followed up, neither did his boss. Numerous phone messages and emails, numerous calls to their customer service, all to no avail.

Last night I went to move it so I could pull my A4 out of the garage since I was taking the A4 in today. The stupid thing wouldn't start. Fine except for my driveway is sloped and I live on the end of the street, I could have rolled it out of the way, but the closest visitor parking spot is about 250 feet away and up a slight hill...no way that Paula and I were going to be able to push it. I called Geico and demanded they come last night to remove the car. They said they wouldn't do it. I said fine, I'll get the car towed myself and you guys can find it on your own.

So I got my other Civic and used it to push the wrecked one onto the street then called a towing company, reported it, and they took it away. The wrecked one had no tags and I turned over the title last week to Geico, so it's not technically my car.

Screw those idiots. I'm not going to return any of their voicemails or emails now. If they want to send the car to a junk yard to salvage whatever they can out of it, they can find it somewhere in Northern Virginia themselves.

I guess I'll never save 15% or more off my car insurance. Remind me to shoot the TV next time those ghey commercials come on.

if the car had started, we were going to leave it on 28 inthe right hand lane with the keys in it and let the city tow it away

Park it and lock it blocking some lane of a major roadway. Put a sign on it that says

"This traffic jam compliments of GEICO!!"
