View Full Version : who's running 19's? and who bent them? mcpath 03-09-2004, 05:59 AM Matt Devo 03-09-2004, 06:29 AM <knocks on wood> ILMA_Revo_Stage_2+ 03-09-2004, 07:04 AM get ready for a very harsh ride esp. in the baltimore or washington dc areas. if you want 19s, you have to go with strong ones that will give you some reassurance but they are $$$. I was thinking about 19s for a long time but dropped down to 18s. even the roads to Bethesda from Olney (Conn/GA Ave.) suck. Potholes galore. mcpath 03-09-2004, 07:25 AM mcpath 03-09-2004, 07:26 AM ILMA_Revo_Stage_2+ 03-09-2004, 07:51 AM i am sticking with 18s since ride quality is very important to me. this is my daily driver after all. i'd also be very hurt if after I got expensive 19s, one of them is bent. but as long as you have the right tire size with proper amount of pressure, you should be good to go. takeuon 03-09-2004, 08:21 AM If your in DC then obviously you need to be more alert. Common sense. Matt Devo 03-09-2004, 08:28 AM Matt Devo 03-09-2004, 08:30 AM can't beat the heft of a nice 19" cast wheel ;-) ILMA_Revo_Stage_2+ 03-09-2004, 10:15 AM but honestly, after paying so much $ for a nice set of wheels don't you think it diverts your attention of enjoying your ride from worrying about your ride quality and wheels all the time? good set of wheels btw! :) KJinDC 03-09-2004, 10:21 AM Our local roads even when repaired aren't the best. that said, if you do get them they look damn nice sometimes! I'm just an anti-bling old guy. ;-) -KJ Matt Devo 03-09-2004, 10:38 AM KJinDC 03-09-2004, 01:41 PM |
