I am in the Washington D.C. Metro area

Hello AudiWorlders,

I was cutoff the other day by a driver that doesn't have any idea about how ro merge. Anyway, while trying to aviod plowing into this idiot, I just barely hit the curb on on my passenger side. It did a pretty good job of scraping both of my passenger side Sport Package Rims. Through the paint and gouged the metal a bit - all cosmetic.

I'm looking for recommendations.

Should I get them repaired?
-If so, can anyone recommend a Rim Repair shop with which they have had good experience?
-How much should I expect to pay?

If I were going to replace these Rims with new (the exact sme rims).
-Where is the best place to get them?
-How much should I expect to pay?

Should I look for someone who is replacing thier stock sport rims and buy theirs?
-Again, what would be a fair price?

Any help is appreciated.

If you're local you can go there. We live in Northern VA and have shipped them wheels via FedEx and the wheel was fixed within 48 hours.

Excellent work for me in the past, including flawless refinish job on a set of 18x8.5 BBS RC's. 1-800-526-8260. You have too keep on top of them if you want your wheels back in a relatively short period of time though!

..about $110 per rim. Add about $25 shipping (to them) per tire. I had a 5 day turn around including shipping. They are in North Carolina.

Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA (800-292-7467) did some nice work for me on a couple of Porsche wheels. That said, a couple of used take-offs may be the most cost-effective fix.

Hi all,

I bought a set of wheels for my BMW from the wheelexchange sometime back. The wheels looked splendid in the photos and when they arrived. Once i fit them in my car, it was a different story altogether! My car became very unstable and i could feel the wheels wobbling when i hold my steering. I tried to return them to wheelexchange, but they simply refused to take them back. They gave me a tough time and accused me of lying about the wheels i bought. i just packed the wheels after using them just for a 100 miles and they accused me of using them for 10,000 miles. They just credited my credit card for 500 dollars and i ended up losing 1200 dollars. Dont believe what they tell you, rest is up to you. Bottom line is wheelexchange after-market wheels SUCK!!.. so does their service..
