I am looking for a 2000-2001 A6 2.7t with sport package and manual in the metro-Philly area.
Can anyone recommend a particular dealer/salesman who you had a good experieince with? This is apparently an uncommon car so the dealer will most likely have to find it for me.
Any help appreciated.

namely, their sevice manager (which rumor has it that he left) and the bad feeling I get when I'm there. I had a really bad service experience with them prior to owning my A4.
Anyway... back to sales... I just ask for someone who has been with the dealership for awhile and knows a lot about the products they're selling. Tell them you don't want to waste their time or your time with the new guy/girl, which there's nothing wrong with asking for an experienced sales person. Also, you could stop in and just see who you get. If you don't like dealing with them, then don't leave your name/number. A first impression can go a long way.
As far as service, I have been very happy with Huntington Valley Audi, which they're only an Audi dealer.

I was just there on Saturday. He seemed to be a straight shooter. No salesman BS, and he admitted when he didn't know something. His name is Douglas Lockard. His number is (610)272-9200 x230. If I buy from Don Rosen Audi, I will definitely buy from him.
The experience at YBH in Edgemont was OK, and their service was generally OK, although I've had better service.
You might also contact Winner Audi in Newark Delaware. Nice dealership. If you consider Wilmington DE close, then Newark DE is only a few miles further. The dealership is near the Christiana Mall. I bought my S4 from them. The salesman was named Dan Hayes. Great guy. I'm not sure if he is still there or not.

I talked with Alex Witham many times before I bought, but he has since moved up to finance or something. Wouldn't hurt to ask for him, either.

She used to be at Don Rosen. She's pretty cool.
I just bought a new '03 A6 2.7T 6-speed from Candace Isaac. She's now at Audi of Huntingdon Valley. Highly recommended. Worked with Sales Manager Frank Santoro. Very straight shooter.
I tried Don Rosen and they were completely un-impressive. Tried to work with May Neff. She's a bit gruff. Hard to work with IMO.
Of course, if you're buying used you'll need to speak with the used car person at the dealership. The new car salesman aren't up to date on what's available used.
Good luck.
