Here is a run down on Schaeffer.

Ride Specs:

Trail Surface: Singletrack
Lay of the Land: Rolling singletrack through farm fields and forest
Fees/Permits: None
Equipment Needed: Helmet, gloves, water, cloths you don't mind getting dirty & bike (duh)

Please make sure that your bike is a mountain bike and not a hybrid or road bike.. There are fallen logs, stumps and rocks. You may bust tires or tubes so please use caution.

Skull Loop (White Trail) 3.7 miles
McGill Loop (Yellow Trail) 8.7 miles
There is two more trails blue and purple, blue will mix with both white and yellow and purple I have not done yet. I will try to ride it this week before hand to check it out and will let you all know.

Other than that here are the directions to both Starbucks and Schaeffer if you decide to meet us at the park.

Starbucks Directions:
19724 Germantown Road
Germantown, MD 20874
240-686-0471
I-270 North to exit 15B towards Germantown.
Merge onto MD-118 S/Germantown Rd.
Starbucks will be on the right hand side about a half mile up the road.
Look for the Shopping center and you should see Starbucks just before the corner.

Schaeffer Farms:
I-270 North to exit 15B towards Germantown.
Merge onto MD-118 S/Germantown Rd.
Approximately 3 miles turn right on Clopper Road
Make an immediate (30 yards or so) left onto Schaeffer Road.
Follow that road a few miles. After going straight through a traffic circle, travel about 1/2 mile more, then look for sign to trailhead on your left. Park in parking area 1/4 mile up that road.
