But i payed with CC so i told CC company and they told paypal tough Sh**t basically and i didnt lose my money My 2 cents 4Train 02-20-2008, 10:59 AM CC always... That's the only protection you got... quattrothatcould 02-20-2008, 11:05 AM But I have the product already and need to send the money...its weird how it worked out lol but thank you anyway OBSESS4 02-20-2008, 11:38 AM if you are sending foreign currency like Canadian dollars there are fees associated with the currency exchange. It's best to send payment in US dollars if you can. The receiver is the one who pays a fee to receive funds. The fees are higher if the funds are received from another country. However these are the receiver's fees, and not the sender's fees. 5speed6 v.2 02-20-2008, 01:02 PM quattrothatcould 02-20-2008, 01:07 PM Easy to use my ass. Fluffhead 02-20-2008, 01:17 PM squidix9 02-20-2008, 04:44 PM and at least in my case, it's cheaper than a merchant account. I don't do enough business to get a preferred rate on a merchant account. So I would have monthly charges and a higher transaction fee. Plus my rate would be about 1/2% higher. However if I sell more expensive parts it does cost me more with PayPal. I actually like it as a seller. Their cross border fees suck, but now my bank is even charging them. But I'll take a $5 hit rather than waiting 1 week till a foreign wire transfer to clear the brokers. BeeRock::Riding Red 02-20-2008, 07:02 PM You guys talking about using cc only is laughable but i understand your point. If you setup an account and opt to accept credit cards your SCREWED when you receive ANY type of payments. If you set up a paypal account and DO NOT accept credit cards YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED for bank payments. I had a buddy who has sold over 1000 parts on ebay and opted for CC well he got screwed over for about 2k of 3% because he opted for cc and almost all his payments were through banks. he signed up for a new account and now does not get 3% charged. I actually have two accounts so i can accept cc and one that accepts bank transfers only. you can all thank me now. btw if you are wise when you buy things through internet purchasing and use paypal you should always make sure its legit, thats how you DON'T get screwed.**** happens though 5speed6 v.2 02-20-2008, 07:49 PM ..not using a credit card. They get over on every bank transfer done to a Premier or Business account. BeeRock::Riding Red 02-21-2008, 09:20 AM 5speed6 v.2 02-21-2008, 10:51 AM |
