I am so pissed. Picked up my 2004 ultrasport at the weekend. Not a mark on her except for some scratches on the bottom of the front lower spoiler.

My work sent me into Manhattan yesterday to 1118th Avenue (carrier hotel). It's a new job, my colleague makes some excuse how we can't take his car and should both take our cars separately. I had to park in the garage under 1118th ave. I pleaded with the guys there to take care of my car. Took out the bumperpads and put them on in front of them.

3 hours later the guy comes screaming down the ramps scrapes all the underside of the front spoiler even more (he takes the final ramp slowly in front of me so I don't see)

I looked the car over and it looked okay but this guy behind me is honking me to hurry up and get out so off I go.

Get her home and there's a dent the size of an SUV front tow bar in the rear next to where the licence plate goes, to the right of the A4 logo.

So pissed, 4 days. I want to go back to the garage with a crowbar and kill those little smug fkers.

I want this dent gone.

This is killing me. Should have bought some old beater.

and didn't rush because of the asshat in the SUV you could have worked something out. I don't think the extra minute would have killed him. But, at least the dent is on your trunk lid and not somewhere else, maybe if it's not too creased dent-x can get it out.

I called, once you leave the garage you're screwed. If I had noticed it right there they would have taken photo and I could file a claim.

I think in the spring or at the next service I will give it to the body shop or dealer and say "make it perfect again" :-)

please learn from our collective NYC parking mistake.

1. Make sure they walk around the car when you drop it off noting anything.

2. When you pick it up. Do your walk around BEFORE you open the car's door.

3. If you heard or see anything YOU MUST file a report BEFORE you leave and if possible take pictures on site proving the date of the pictures.

The garage isnurance co will use ANYTHING they can to slow the process and say it happend 2 seconds after you got into the car.

I was shocked to see some high end cars stored under there last time. I saw a Ferrari and Maseratti stored under there with a ton of dust all over them. I am not surprised that happened to your car. You should really go back there and show them the damage.

very important to do the walk around before and after. And never tip until after you get your car back in 1 piece, other wise you are just paying to have your car dented.

It will take you 3 years to get your claim settled with the department of consumer affairs, but they typically rule on the side of the customer assuming you make a reasonable case supported with evidence.

once you drive off they can claim you did it yourself, but you have nothing to lose by calling the manager and explaining the circumstances. Worst he can say is to Fvck off which leaves you off no worse.

The paint is not broken, however I looks like a kink, don't know how they would do it.
