Best mod i ever did is my Blinder M30 laserjammer. Got hit by laser on Verrazano bridge. They got construction in progress. For some reason my V1 remained silent all the way.

do you or your friend know of a good hotel deal in montreal? That is why i was leaning to indy. Additionally the race was considerably cheaper to attend.

Let me know if you want to go to either.

Glad to hear you had a great time at sebring

I haven't bought the tickets yet but unless something big comes up at work or otherwise, I don't see why I wouldn't. I don't know of any hotel deals, I will ask my friend the next time I talk to him though. Are you looking for something very inexpensive that might not be four star? Just wondering how much you want to save/sacrifice.

I have a V1 and CB radio, and thats all you ever really need. Its all about observation and experience.

Go buy your laser jammers, radar jammers, reflective plates, and even paint your car matte black. If you don't know how to drive or use those modifications, they are all useless.

Your V1 probably didn't go off because the V1 is smarter then most laser jammers out there. Your $400 investment probably jammed the rear tail light of a GM Envoy. The LEDs on the center rear brake light transmits at the same frequency and wavelength as police laser guns. The V1 is not as sensitive to those false alarms as other units.

All of these fancy tools and gadgets don't replace intelligent and careful driving. There are several books out there written by ex-state troopers which describe their tactics related to finding habitual speeders. Beside that, I really don't see the need to speed in an area like NYC. You wont get to your location any faster. If you want to do some serious speed, go out west or take the car to the track. Lime Rock isnt too far, plus the Thunderbolt Raceway (3 mile oval and inner road coarse) should be opening in under a year.

And still jammer saved my ass many times. You cant say nothing as you dont have one.

and I can say something because I have been in several cars with such devices. This is a field I am very interested in and I do a lot of research related to the subject. I have discussed this topic with several people who do rallys and other driving related events. Nothing beats experience and just pure common sense.

thats why i dont bother with the tech crap...i sold my v1 when i got my current license plate...i just have to be careful now while i have the goddamn temp tag on the new car while they transfer my license plate. the only tickets i get are from ezpass not reading my fvckin tag when i go thru those high speed lanes.

You should go buy the $1500 Scorpion Ultimate Radar Jammer too! Then you can change your screen name to "invisicar"!

I ran the Audi Club events last year, May 8th will be my first one with PDA. Probably going to be there 3-4 times this year, its an awesome track.

Very technical course from what I have been told, but not interesting...no elevation changes and such.

Probably going to head up to Canada again for the Mont Tremblant Audi Club event again this year, and I'd like to visit VIR if I can. Then maybe Mid-Ohio.

All set off the V1's Laser.

Everytime I pass a damn FX my laser alert goes on. Me thinks its their adaptive cruisecontrol / parktronic?

In the Infiniti's it uses laser to tell when you have "wandered" out of your lane. One of the stupidest and most useless features ever invented. Seriously..if you wander out of your lane frequently enough to require a system to warn you that you've gone into another lane, then you shouldn't be driving to begin with.
