I was driving on Rt 80 E in NJ with the flow of traffic. State Trooper stopped me for 84 in a 65. The cop was pacing me and said that I was stopped you for driving 82-84 in a 65 mph zone.

I have no points on my license, but this is my second offence ever. My last ticket was in July 2003 for speeding 64 in a 50, but I went to court and had it reduced to "Driving in an unsafe manner (points only assessed for the third or subsequent violation(s) within a five-year period.)"

I know that I was speeding, but I don't think I was driving that fast. I'm definitely going to go to court, but my question is should I fight the ticket or should I try to plea bargain with the prosecutor. Has anybody been the situation whereby you stopped for speeding by being pace? What was the outcome?

The is no such think as defending the ticket beacuse "you were keeping with the low" Everyone was speeding so you did to? You just got caught.
You can try the plea bargain, that's probably the only option.

I would go and speak to the procecuter and plea it down to some fine with no points as you have done in the past.
