Alright so I pick up my car on Jan. 4 after they claimed they fixed the problem I was having with the power steering, and basically right after I started driving I heard a strange noise exactly like when I had originally dropped the car off and all power steering slowly went away after about 30 minutes so I took it back into the dealer. The guy said they had test driven it which is clearly bull$$$$ because I heard a problem after less than a quarter mile. I brought it back same day and they said they might have the power steering rack in the next day. Now a week later they're saying it still hasn't arrived because they had to ship it from Germany...

I'm just wondering if they have to first build the damn part too at the plant and then ship it over. New Country Audi isn't even sure what the problem is with the car and yet they're waiting for the part in hopes that it fixes the problem. I haven't had it for more than 2 hours since Dec 16 and I'm getting seriously annoyed.

everyone chooses to burn themselves, their cars and their pockets at this dealer. There is example after example of massive service problems and unethical billing/work to many many AW members, (and non-AW members), yet people choose to keep going back to New Country. At this point I can't be sympathetic to AW members that are presented with this information yet choose to still go there.<End of venting>

I browsed through the forums for only a few days before getting my car so it's not like I could expect to find out about New Country.

Back in the day, I was looking for a used B5 S4. I went to New Country (I live in NJ) because when I called, they insisted that they had tons of used B5 S4's in stock. Anyhow, as you would expect, I got there and they had 1. Not the color I wanted, it was an auto, and it was BEAT. So the salesman I was dealing with let me take that one of for a test drive anyway. After about 25 minutes, I said "OK, so which way back to the dealership?" because I was done driving that POS. He takes me on this hour long tour of Greenwich which I could have gave 2****s about, telling me all about the movie stars and famous people that live there and buy cars from him. Since I didn't know where the F I was, I just followed his directions, which took us ALL over the place! He was a strange character. So when we get back to the dealer, I see this dolphin gray B6 A4 and asked about it. So he goes and gets the keys and we take off on another crazy 45 minute test drive. Thank god I had a friend with me otherwise I would have been freaked out.
So after all that, we get back from the second test drive and he starts writing a sales contract for the POS silver B5 AUTO S4. I tell him I don't want that car and he starts getting really pissed. I say, "I'm sorry, but I want Nogaro blue, sport package and a 6 speed, I made that very clear on the phone and when I got here, not a silver automatic." So basically me and my friend just grab our stuff and get the F out of there. For DAYS after that, I was getting these really wierd voicemails and faxes from this looney toon with all this wierd poetry about keeping your word and being an honest human being. I mean some REALLY wierd ****. Eventually I had to call the GM of the dealership and politely ask this to stop.
Then I went to a local NJ dealer and told them I wanted to buy that B6 A4 from New Country but didn't want to deal with them, so when they called to arrange a trade...New Country refused, stating that "if he wants this car, he has to come back here and get it". No thanks is what I said! LOL.
I always knew there was something wrong with Connecticut...lol Sorry Emily...but it's true ;)
