Where exactly are you? I figured I'd mention for the good of anyone in the area I found what seems to be a good honest mechanic after coming to school on Staten Island, NY. After being absolutly ripped off by foreign car cure in CT (never go near this place) for over $2,000 my car ran like crap. I made some calls and found "Brothers Foreign Car" on Staten Island. These guys took the time to carefully check out my car and stayed in touch while it was there. Turns out some new O2 sensors were needed and the running problems came from (mechanics words) "Some previous mechanic who had no idea what he was doing messing around with the ECU trying to fix the rough idle". It's a shame I'm a college student or I'd probably devote some time and effort to getting my money back from the theives in CT. Live and learn I guess.

I am in Poughkeepsie too, and I bought my car at Valenti in CT. Though it's a one hour drive from here, I highly recommend their service dept. If you are out of warrantee, Greg Haymann at AutoFirme is most likely the BEST AUDI MECHANIC ON THE EAST COAST. He has a loyal clientelle and people drive for hours to have him fix their cars. He's meticulous and really knows his stuff. His brother has a body shop right there, and the two of them race Audi's as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Cheers.

NOT Hoffman Audi in East Hartford. CANNOT solve A4 control arm problems, AND doesn't care! Big waste of money and time. Oil change OK! Anything else....NOPE. I learned the hard way.
