Just got my 2001 S4 back from Momentum (downtown) following routine in-warranty service and minor repairs. Despite not doing all the things that were requested, it came back worse than it went in. Driver's door which had "shimmy" and window with wind leak at B pillar now is out of adjustment and needs to be knocked open -- clearly not lined up. (Is the tech blind or careless?) Then the center arm rest needed to be replaced as the lock/clasp broke. What did they replace it with? VINYL! C'mon guys, this is what they do with Toyotas, not Audis!!!

They had the car for A WEEK and still didn't get it all done -- or right. Am I the only one with frustrations, or is this part of the monopoly we in Houston now face?

Frustrated.....

...it seems to be an intense combination of incompetence, mismanagement, laziness and just not caring if you ask me. If Infiniti makes just a few more strides in their lineup, I will probably be kissing Audi goodbye at the time of my next vehicle purchase.

One reason I don't miss my Audi. It's pathetic that this even happens.

If only the G35 sedan looked half as good as the coupe did, I'd probably be driving one right now. Maybe the restyling of the M45 will come out quite nicely, because that thing's a turd right now.

on the Z and the Coupe people are getting 350 to the rear wheels.... sure, some are tinkering with the fuel mapping and blowing up the engine, but the Sedan runs lower compression than the Coupe and Z so the SC should be more reliable.

The NA 3.5 in the Sedan makes 260HP at 6000 and 260 lb-ft at 4200... I'd take 3.5 litres of NA reliability over a hopped up, twin-turbo 2.7 any day :)

I just configured and AWD Leather Sedan with most of the options except for the aero kit and it came to a little under $36k.

Not too shabby!

The only bads we've experienced with the G...
Interior wear
Brake wear (now part of a 36k mile warranty)
Tire wear (crapped out toe-in setting from the plant)
CD changer crapped
Tranny lock crapped
Cam solieniod crapped

Our car was one of the first in the US and had some issues. It was a great car, the dealer was great and we hated to give it up.

In a few years when the Mustang is paid off, the G coupe might be a consideration, but since we're not limiting ourselves to 2+2s, Z, Boxster, whatever else is out, we'll shop.

...but at least with respect to the tail lights car color can fix that. I'd have to get a red one so that the tail lights blended in with the trunk.
