He jumped out a car to start the race and I had a couple car lead before shutting it down. We then gave each other a "thumb ups".

weight and quattro disadvantage as far as straight line speed is concerned.

i know quite a few people who would love to run at a road course though. =)

I ran SCCA and Equipe Rapide a few years back and won the season points in my class in 2000. It was fun but I hated wasting the whole day for a couple of minutes of seat time. The Subarus always shined on the tight courses.

MSR was even more fun but sure was hard on the car and tires.

How much do S4s weigh? What kind of 60fts are possible with the AWD?

But, no one would play with me if I put 10.8 @ 130mph back there. I like to have fun commuting to and from work, too.

Anyway, I'm not here to start trouble. Just wanting to say "good race" to the fella and congratulate him on his ride.

a modified z28 owner who's not blind to every thing except 1/4mi times.

6speed s4 comes in a little over 3600lbs. it's a porker. the 1.8t a4 quattro 5speed comes in around 3250lbs. the z28 has the same curb as the a4 right?

the best 60 slip i've seen is 1.6 i believe. and that's spinning all 4 tires outta the gate. takes talent and patience to master an awd launch .. i still cant do it. hahaha

Nope, as a Longhorn fan, I try to stay away from Aggieland as much as possible. ;)

140mph+ should be easy on the front straight. =) damn ... had no idea those things weighed so much.

i wuss out around 135mph going into turn 1. 8o

I don't have the time to mess with it.

There's usually a few F-bods that go to the Drivers Edge at TWS and the BMW Events around DFW. You may see a white Ram Air TA and a silver Z28 w/ ghost flames. But most of my friends like drag racing.
