Hi,
I am new to the club but a long time Audi owner. I am wondering if any one has ever used any Brake Improvement Research Assn. parts. I have a V8 Quattro 5-speed that has the UFO brakes on it and I am considering getting their brake conversion system that uses 996 calipers and 600 sl rotors. But first I have to sign a contract with a lot of legal jargon to become a member and you have to be a member to get their bracket. So I am just wondering if any one out there is a member of BIRA I would appreciate any advice on the quality of their products.

I don't think your treading unethical waters there Rob.

Your not outright spamming the forum with opinions and ads. In this case two other people suggested QRS before you replied, and I suggested QRS to him yesterday in the NTAG forum. If anything your post inferred that you no longer have any association with QRS which threw me for a loop.

And your reply was actually one that was obviously a no BS answer about what QRS does and does not do. Nothing like "We're the best" or something opinionated like that. The Tirerack guys do a good job in the tire forums of maintaining ethical boundaries. I think it would be beneficial to have the professional service and repair people represent themselves on the forum, as long as its not blatant spamming or opinions about who does better work.

i.e. if someone where to ask for BIRA 1 setup, I think its okay to answer "we have that here at QRS in Austin"

James

I try to stay out of the heated debates that all to often pop up on these forums, etc. I don't mind if people know, but at the same time I don't want to outright advertise that fact. I have to many relationships with varied people and companies I don't like to tread toes. If I post as an individual it means sometimes different than posted as business. That is all :)

they don't do that design. I talked to them about it when I got my UFOs replaced on my 200 20v tq. I decided to just put a used set of G60s on. That said, when I do get serious, I'm probably going to put on Stoptechs. Apparently the A4 versions will fit. Of course you'd need to do the G60 strut conversion first.
