By now, most of you have seen the post about Stratmosphere's association with Oberscheider Chip Tuning in Austria.
I just installed the O.CT Stage 1 chip into my 2001 A4 1.8T and drove around the block a few times. This car has a stock exhaust and a KO3 from a 1997 A4. No other engine mods, unless you count the APR Snub mount.
First impression... wow, this thing pulls like a freight train. I was not even out of the apartment parking lot and I almost hit a parked Suburban when I tapped the gas pedal. Lots of torque, and it is immediate.
So far all I've done is a few laps around the block, nothing to radical. Tomorrow I'll find out how it pulls getting onto the freeway and merging with traffic.
A few numbers: O.CT dynos this chip at 195 HP and 207 ft-lb of torque. Butt-dyno tells me its more.
More to follow.
