I went back to shop that put in and they couldnt figure out. I asked firestone (while alignment) and couldnt figure out. The dealer wont touch it (even though I offer to pay). Any place in town familiar w/ VW/AUDI suspension(open on Sat)? The noise I belive is coming from inside wheel well behind the rear seat. Its driving me NUTZ. Help!

Is your car the 1999.5 FWD 1.8T in the picture?
Did you have the car lowered in any way?
Seems like there are two possibilities that come to mind.
1. the installation was botched and they forgot to reattach something in the rear suspension.
2. The Bilsteins are inadequate with the factory springs and are not properly dampening the car when you travel over bumps.
Either way its a problem you should take to the shop that did the installation and either have them fix it, or they need to take out the Shocks free of charge.

I have the Audi Eurosport springs and Bilstein shocks. I have the same cluncking sound on the passenger side rear wheel.
I'm on my second seet of shocks on the back of the car and I still have the same noise.
Sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe it's an issue with the shocks???

Both you guys with Bilsteins and clunking in the passenger rear corner.
My H&R COs have clunked in that corner since day one. And I'm told that the shock bodies are manufactured for H&R by... Bilstein.
Hmmmmm.
