Great looking selection and the prices are fantastic; how do they stand up to the less than ideal road surfaces in New England? Any complaints about build quality?

No bends or cracks in the 1.5 years I've had them...and I've hit quite a few unseen potholes large enough to rattle the entire car. No complains from me! And for $799 shipped (18s), can't beat it.

Which set were you looking at?

I actually have two sets...I've curbed the crap out my first set (don't ask) but they still run straight and true. I'm now using them as my winter setup and have a relatively new set of VMR RS4s for my summer setup.

One nice thing about VMRs is that they're hubcentric and designed to use OEM lugs so they mount right up without spacers / hub rings etc.

Might have to wait for the right deal to come along though. Last year I happened to find a set of 17" RX-IIs with almost new bridgestone S03s for $600

...but at elast you know a few members that have already chimed in have had good experiences with them on Boston roads. Nothing beats a nice forged wheel for strength.

Which BBS wheels were you thinking about? Just curious.

Hell of a wheel for the $. The HyperSilver finish is striking in person and looks awesome with Nogaro.

My only complaint is that the barrel color doesn't match the face, and isn't consistent across all four wheels. Then again, I paid $600 shipped for a set of wheels, so I can't really complain.

I've been using them for the past two S/S/F seasons.

I hit a really nasty pothole on the [highway] last summer at about 55 mph, blowing a hole in the sidewall of the tire. I was happy to find that the wheel suffered no damage - it balanced perfectly on my local shop's Hunter machine when I had a new tire mounted.

They weigh about 26 lbs each.

I have noticed that the paint finish is somewhat delicate around the log bolt openings -seems easy to nick if you are not careful. But after a couple of years of non-winter use, mine still look brand new.

The VMR versions of these wheels certainly are striking to look at - I've received a few compliments when filling up the gas station pumps.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.audiworld.com/newengland/msgs/87959.phtml">July '08</a></li></ul>

Here's a start, 2 18" CHs on ebay. Find 2 more, refinish em.. might be a cheap way into these wheels.
