My mother brought her A4 3.0 into Morong last week for an inspection and had a few things done while it was in there. One of them was the rear left license plate bulb unit replaced because the screw was stripped. They had to drill it out which is fine by me and easier and less expensive than getting a whole new unit. While drilling it the tech slipped with the drill and scratched the paint to the upper left of the plate. When you open the trunk its very obvious that this is what happened.

So...i hand wash the car while i am home over the weekend and notice this...I AM IRRATE at the time (and still am) but it was Sunday so there wasnt much i could do about it. Keeping in mind the bill was $900 for 2 new e-brake cables, wipers, oil change and this plate light fix.

So my question to you guys is...what would you do? Some thoughts that have crossed my mind are bringing it back and RIPPING them a new and going off the deep end and demanding to be refunded for that pertion of the work.

Another though is to give them 2 options...repaint my trunk lid or refund me for all labor that it took to do the drilling (1.5 hours they claim).

At the end of the day i could have done the job and ATLEAST put a blanket with some foam between the drill and the trunk lid...Its just so damn frustrating to pay a "professional" A LOT of money and to see this kind of sloppiness. At this point i WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.

End Rant.

Thanks

Get the labor knocked off the bill and a free tube of touch-up paint.

told them i want my money back, they had no issues at all refunding my money, he didn't even question it really, i figure it was because I was obviously heated and very intent on getting my money back. Good luck!
