It's all Audi this week. What's up with all the new engines? A less powerful 3.0 Blown V6 for the S4? Rs4 and Rs5 will retain same V8 but now with 450 hp?

And to top it off, the S7 will get a TT 4.0 V8 good for only 394 HP...That's a big car with less than 400 hp. I imagine since it's a TT you can easily tune it to over 500, but still, would expect more stock....

I'm getting confused, so many engines, so many models, and I'm not sure if they're advances, sounds like a lot of sideways moves (unless they're super fuel efficient or something....)And what's up with the S4, TT, then NA, now blown? Cant audi make up its mind?

As for the S4... it sucks. we all want the biturbo back. but they are still paying out for blown Ko3's from 8 years ago and don't want to get stuck in that mess again. a supercharger with a smaller engine wih get similar power to the V8 and will get better gas milage. That's alright, and you won't be able to tune it like the turbo's..

will bump up the power but I agree the tuners will be limited with what they can do. I think most of this comes down to trying to maintain good levels of usable power and return better gas mileage. Perhaps with the death of the SUV we'll see more avants coming over now, like a S4 avant which is rumored to have been killed for this market.

But you always need to add more fuel as well...
