Its getting aligned today. I did have an offer on our place, however. It was a lowball deal, but its moving in the positive direction.

I was (and still may sign up for the end of Sept. event) but I may wind up having to go to Louisiana...

Either way, I'm definitely going to try and make the October event!

How were the times on Saturday?

Good layout for my car. Nothing too tight and some good high speed where the extra power helped out. Perfect day for racing. The gf went on every run with me and I got her a ride along in one of the race prepped Z3's (ran a 71.5 on her run). She thought it was great and can't wait for the next event - so I now have her endoresement, which is really cool.

Congrats? on the lowball - at least it's something. I'm sure the right buyer will find it soon.

Yeah, I was happy about the lowball, even though it didn't work out.

Its a good sign to get any type of offer in this market.

I'm tempted to get something for the Honda, but the car is already low and handles pretty well. I'd get some sways just to help with body roll, but I'd be afraid of messing up the balance. I think Cy and I are going to try to make an AutoX this year to see how the S2000 and the Miata do.

I'll be back at our regular meeting place this coming Saturday morning again if you're in the area.

but I doubt I'll have time to stop in. What the hell are you doing now?

that doesn't sound like much, but they were linear springs and they hit like a ton of bricks...plus the car was 2700lbs with gas in it.

I pretty much had to drive with the shocks at the full soft setting on the roads around here. Even so, it bounced around like a civic with cut springs over the really bad stuff.

On the track (or smooth highway) they were terrific. I should have listened. It even said "off road use only" on the box.

A friend of mine has a miata with the Spec Miata suspension with 700+ lbs springs. It's a track queen that doesn't see the street, but the rides were reminiscent, though his had zero body roll.

A lot of the high end coilovers for the Mazdaspeed had linear front coilovers and progressive spring rears...but they were $$$.

Do your homework...if it's going to be a daily driver and a track / autocross car, you may want to consider progressive springs.

I would only go with a setup similar to that....so KW V3 double adjustble. Not sure if the springs are progressive, but they are in the 500 lb/in ball park. the setup is close to $2k, but the cheaper stuff doesn't have the warranty or the reputation of the KW stuff. That being said I won't get anything for a long time.

Live and learn...I believe the KW's for my car were linear front, progressive rear....
