My front H-Sport sway bar has been out of commission for a while now, can't remember when I took it off. Just been running the rear h-sport bar and stock front.

The bolt head on the right side had sheered off and now the bolt is stuck inside the thread hole. I tried to drill and extract with bits I picked up at home depot but probably my drill isn't strong enough. The bolt is 8.8 grade steel if anyone wants to know.

Does anyone know of a machine shop that can extract this for me or perhaps someone here is handy with something like this? I'm willing to provide beer or food for your services if you'd like :)

Thanks!

just be sure to get the hole started in the exact center of the bolt - otherwise you'll be drilling out the threads once you go up a couple of more sizes. Then the only fix for that is either a new part or put in a thread insert (Helicoil). An independant shop should be able to help you out if you find you can't do it.

If you have the DIY bug then Ming02 has the right idea...but this is such a standard thing (to have bolts shear off/fail in place) that any shop you would normally trust with your car can handle this one.

Maybe they'll even take beer as payment ;-) Now THAT would be a popular shop!!

what type of bit I got, seemed like a standard screw/bolt extractor.
