Mother Nature might actually help break this heat and let us meet under sunny skies and 80 degree temps! We certainly need some of that after this heat spell!

Okay, so this is the LAST update for the meeting at the Waltham Uno's on Bear Hill Road. Only a few days left, and we have a pretty good turnout, but still remarkably thin on the A3 and A8 folks. Here are the attendees to-date:

<b>Best of Model and Best of Show Contest</b>

As we did at the last GTG here, we'll have a "Best of Model" and "Best of Show" contest, but this time we were able to round up a few prizes. In addition, we will have a few door prizes open to all Audi-owner attendees.

Get your cars cleaned up and ready for another "Best of Model" contest like we had last time. Judging will be based on various criteria, but be assured that cleanliness is one of them! The model categories are:

Best A3
Best A4 (B5, B6, B7 will all be judged together)
Best S4 (B5, B6, B7 will all be judged together)
Best A6/S6/RS6/allroad
Best TT
Best A8
Best Old School

Please note: Winners from the last GTG are ineligible. Here is a list of last April's winners:

<b>In order for the judges to see your car in the proper category, PLEASE make sure you park in the correct section of the parking lot (see information below). </b> In other words, if you are not parked with your respective siblings, your car might be missed. In order for your car to qualify for judging it <b>must</b> be at the GTG by 6:30pm as judging will close shortly there after.

Once we determine the 7 "Best of Model" cars we will have a vote (by show of hands or other method TBD) to determine the "Best of Show" winner. Prizes??? <a href="mailto:Phil@eastarsinc.com">Phil Yiu</a>, the Northeast distributor of Adams Polishes, has made a generous donation of some very nice detailing products for prizes (more info on those later). For other prizes, SmokinS4™ has received two pair of wheel storage bags from <a href="http://www.rimandwheelworks.com/">Rim and Wheel Works</a> in Waltham, and our friends at <a href="http://www.bernardiaudi.com/en_US/">Bernardi Audi</a> have also chipped into the cause (more details on that when I get the information this weekend).

<b>Parking</b>

We'd like to keep all cars as far away from the restaurant as possible so we leave as many spaces as possible close to the restaurant for regular patrons. I know this has been said before, but...one space per car please.

<b>A6/allroad/S6/RS6: Park against the rock wall closest to Bear Hill Road.
TT/Old School/A3/A8: Park against the rock wall closest to the highway.
A4 (B5, B6, B7): Park in the two rows immediately across from the A6/S6/RS6/allroad group.
S4 (B5, B6, B7): Park in the two rows immediately across from the TT/Old School/A3/A8 group.
Non-audi attendees: Park in the row of spaces nearest and parallel to the highway (marked "overflow").</b>

I guess it doesn't really matter - looks like I'll be Coupin'.

I will not be at the meet. my car will be in the shop getting a new front end because of an accident this morning (my fault, naturally)

everyone save your "drive safer" speeches, the car hydroplaned in this mornings rain and I couldnt stop from sliding into the car in front of me. The SOnata I hit only needs a new bumper, I need a new hood, ehadlights, fenders, bumper and radiators.

I actually think MA will deem me uninsurable when they get wind of this. FAWK. Oh well, guess I gotta deal with it now. All I now is this puts back my move out plans by a good year plus until ym insurance comes down enough to pay for it on a teachers salary....

I figure it might be something a few of the guys want to see plus it'll save me the trouble of bothering someone from the board at a later date when I manage to screw up a plug and play install!!

I am really thinking about the Vogtland coilovers, but am afraid they may be too harsh. If you'd be willing to, I'll be at the meet and would really really appreciate it.

Is there room for one more ('01 A6 4.2)at the GTG?
Would like to stop by and say hello/thanks for all the "how to" threads that have assisted with doing mods.
Can't stay for too long- 8/8 is me and the mrs anniversary- but would still like to drop by and meet the crew.

I don't even think I'm going to take it to work tomorrow, I don't want it to get dusty (that's pretty sick isn't it?).

Those cars share so many design cues.

I'm gonna take my RC51, and a buddy of mine is gonna be there with his Mitsu Gheylant.

I'll be in the Galant VR4, he might bring the PanzorWagon or the RC51.
