the ecodes added 2 points to my insurance. I find that highly unreasonable. I can wait to go to court on the 9th for the 2nd exhaust ticket I got. I'm starting to get frustrated over here.

Technically illegal, though 9/10 LE officials wouldnt ticket you for it (or even notice for that matter).

cars dont have amber reflectors either. They just have an amber bulb (i think)

It might not be in the headlights -- could be in the bumper -- but it's there.

agree that most cops wouldn't notice it; it's kind of a ticky-tack violation.

it's the DOT approval. As far as i know, every us-spec car has the initials "DOT" stamped somewhere in the plastic of the headlight cover.

Although as far as I know it is the law. I just bought some stick on amber reflectors at autozone for $2.00 and put them on the bumper sides. I just passed inspection last month using them. no issues. I even put them on in the parking lot of the place I got inspected. lol

the first ticket I had gotten for the ecodes and teh exhaust, the Trooper had written teh offences on my registration very small, including the statues of law. I had not noticed this until I looked at the registration before inspection last month. so they were definatly on the registration at the time of the second ticket. I am curious as to how much a roll they played. even though the second trooper did not write me up for the ecodes.
