the ecodes added 2 points to my insurance. I find that highly unreasonable. I can wait to go to court on the 9th for the 2nd exhaust ticket I got. I'm starting to get frustrated over here.

View Full Version : just to inform everyone on the board who is in MA that the ticket I got in March for the exhaust and envuks 08-01-2006, 05:52 PM the ecodes added 2 points to my insurance. Asicks2.7T 08-01-2006, 06:44 PM Technically illegal, though 9/10 LE officials wouldnt ticket you for it (or even notice for that matter). Asicks2.7T 08-01-2006, 06:45 PM Dr. Jekyll 08-01-2006, 07:12 PM I wonder how many tickets I'll get when I move up there :-( I'm completely catless w/ borla and I have ecodes... xdriver 08-01-2006, 08:23 PM cars dont have amber reflectors either. They just have an amber bulb (i think) mirth 08-01-2006, 09:12 PM It might not be in the headlights -- could be in the bumper -- but it's there. agree that most cops wouldn't notice it; it's kind of a ticky-tack violation. xdriver 08-01-2006, 09:29 PM mirth 08-01-2006, 10:20 PM it's the DOT approval. As far as i know, every us-spec car has the initials "DOT" stamped somewhere in the plastic of the headlight cover. Im attending court for it on the 9th envuks 08-02-2006, 04:47 PM Although as far as I know it is the law. I just bought some stick on amber reflectors at autozone for $2.00 and put them on the bumper sides. I just passed inspection last month using them. no issues. I even put them on in the parking lot of the place I got inspected. lol envuks 08-02-2006, 04:52 PM the first ticket I had gotten for the ecodes and teh exhaust, the Trooper had written teh offences on my registration very small, including the statues of law. I had not noticed this until I looked at the registration before inspection last month. so they were definatly on the registration at the time of the second ticket. I am curious as to how much a roll they played. even though the second trooper did not write me up for the ecodes.
