My company is in search of a full time Data Analyst (DA). The DA will act as the "go-to person" for all application and data support. A background in financial services is necessary as the DA will provide a bridge between finance and technology. The individual must also have both a 24x7 support attitude and a "do anything" approach to their job.

This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

Responsibilities

Support the existing data environment while implementing new tools, techniques and processes.
Respond to daily user requests relating to application support, data management and reporting
Become the expert on all applications in use and act as the liaison to outside vendor support


Support the following applications:
Crystal Reports (8.5 to 11)
Analytx - Venture Complete (version 6)
ACCPAC Accounting
Microsoft SQL Server 2005
Microsoft SQL Reporting Services
Microsoft SharePoint Server
Microsoft Web Services (IIS)
The Microsoft Office suite


Manage content for both internal and external web access points
Work very closely with both internal and external system support people
Articulate plan for information integration and improved business process flow
Develop a data-warehouse for reporting and business intelligence


Qualifications / Experience



Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
4+ years of work experience in the financial services or investment management field
