Its all so new and we are very excited. I took a ton of pictures and will post when I get home tomorrow. Your life will never be the same, but you'll never trade it for anything either!!! It really is the best time of your life and you'll be amazed at how much you will do on so little sleep and not even mind doing it! Good luck and congratulations!

If your wife needs any 'advice' now that she is a new mom on anything just let me know. My wife is in the health care field and does a lot with expecting and new mothers.

I do not think they make a rearward facing baby seat, but that booster is HAWT!

My daughter is almost 3 months old. Isn't it just the greatest feeling in the world?
ALso, don't worry; she WILL begin sleeping through the night soon. The 1st 6 weeks are the worst. The key is to get her and keep her on a feeding and sleeping schedule. Don't let anyone wake her up when she's supposed to be napping.
You will piss off a lot of relatives, but tell them that if they REALLY want to hold her an dplay with her, they can drop by a 3:30 am and spend as much time as they want, because you want to sleep and waking her now will ensure that she gets up at night.
It works. SHe shouldn't be awake for more than 2 hours at a time for the first few months. Even if she resists a nap, she really is tired and needs one and you have to sooth her to sleep. SHe'll be happier and sleep through the night if she gets her regular naps (and you and Mom will be, too). It sounds counterinutitive, but for babies, missing sleep makes them less able to sleep at night.
Think of (and explain it to objectors) this way: if the baby was hungry, you would not withold food. The baby needs sleep as much as she needs food, so why withold sleep from her just because you want her to play?
