AKA RT.17 in Waitsfield VT.
We left my house, took rt 12 to get to rt107, to rt 100, up through Granville Gulch, into Waitsfield, then picked up RT17, where the road ribbons over the green mountains, up and past Mad river Glen ski area. It's the closest thing to an alpine road you will find in this part of Vermont, if not all of New England. Most of the corners are 2nd gear going up, and heavy on the brakes going down. It's a popular road with all car and motorcycle clubs etc.. Luckily, we had no motorhomes to contend with, very light traffic. We only had to pass one SUV on the way up, and didn't come on any cars on the way down the back towards RT116.
I have a 45mb movie if anyone is interested..
