Made an appointment 3 weeks ago to drop off our newly acquired pre-owned Avant A6 for a number of service campaigns that need to be caught up with as well as a few smaller items like wipers, a broken cupholder in back and a non functional drivers ide auto tint mirror.
Dropped it off on Wed morning. Was told it would be ready following morning...
Day 1 - Wagner does ZERO work on the car saying that the mechanic is "sick".
Day 2 - Wagner does 3 out of 6 service campaigns on the car - calls it a day. Promises us everything will be ready by Friday PM.
Day 3 - Wagner calls us to confess - they were mixed up and NO work has been done on the car at all and the mechanic is "sick" again today. Offer us a loaner car which we have to wait for when we get there - a disgusting cranberry red Ford Taurus that smells like someone died in it from Budget rent-a-car. Oh, and they aren't making any promises about when we'll get the car back - could be Monday, Tuesday, hell, it could be next month. Who knows?
Un-freaking-believable. I've read a number of posts in this subforum praising Wagner for service but let me tell you first hand - these people are morons.
This will be our first and LAST experience dealing with Wagner until they can get thier act together.

I've heard from the two places I've been thus far (Clair and Bernardi) that the rental cars "could" be an Audi, but could also just as likely be a Kia. Ugh.
To make matters worse, I have a friend who told me that he dropped off his VW Jetta at his local dealer and got an Audi A4 1.8T for the day....WTF!
Regards,
Chris

They were much better than Bernardi the first two times I went there and then steadily got worse. They were so bad that the last time my car was there, it showed up on a flatbed and they actually had to ask if something was wrong with the car.
Needless to say, I won't be going back.

I know they changed over the service team-manager etc. this year and she hasn't a clue-we went head to head on a couple visits-she doesn't know what an S4 is-just what Audi's are.

Jeff at Clair is great, if u have warranty, you might get an A4. Watch out for Enterprise jerks there, they only give out cavaliers, unless u pay 20 for a volvo s60. Then they do tricks to the bill in their favor.
I liked Clair, but alas, I am out of warranty and out of stealerships. Brians garage and shine auto in walpole for me.

but out of warranty? then there is no point at even looking at a dealership for repairs unless you absolutely have to

My sons just barely fits in my wife's Jetta, and they are roughly the same size interior. Right?

Finally got the car back last night. Wagner only did the campaigns that were low cost to them.
They did not replace the control arms even though the tech clearly stated on the writeup that they needed it. They claimed to try to get audi to pick up the bill but were refused.
They also refused to replace the heated steering wheel as well even though the tech found it inoperative. They also claimed that they tried to get Audi to pick up the bill here as well and were refused.
A call to Audi Customer Care confirms this - the field manager turned them down. Good service huh?
I'm learning three very valuable lessons...
1. Audi's are unreliable.
2. Audi does not stand behind their products.
3. If you do buy an unreliable Audi - don't take it to Wagner.
Of course what this all boils down to is one simple message I'll keep telling myself (and anyone else who'll listen) over and over again, don't buy an Audi.

WOW- Just reading your post on Wagner Audi, I'm really suprised that you had such problems with them. I have had to wait before for some items, but in the end they always seem to come through. I just purchased my S4 from them a year ago, and when I bought it, they had just gone through it from top to bottom! I don't understand why they won't cover these concerns if you just bought the vehicle from them, they should have put the Audi warranty on it, My S4 is covered for 6 years or 100k miles! I think you should call them and ask them why that warranty didn't cover your problems. I don't understand why they wouldn't do the recalls, I think Audi pays them for the recalls just like the regular warranty, i've never had any problem getting anything covered. I hope this helps!

That should definitely get replaced. The control arms definitely should as well.
Where are you located?

Yep - know about the TSB/Recalls. BTW If anyone needs access to any TSB - I have an alldata subscription.
I'm in Sterling.

Most of the dealers are going to be a bit of a drive for you.
Which is closer for you: Clair or Fathers & Sons (springfield)? I have heard good things about both (but haven't personally been to either).

Oh yeah, and a cooler in the trunk tipped over, cell phone rang, ppl following said "you're dumping water all over the highway!" ok so I did do more than a little cleaning on the inside ;)
