Has anyone gone through the sales process with their 100 or A6 recently? I've decided to trade in either for a urS4 or a new A4. Would love advice on my ad (below), price and places to advertise. Pics are on my picture post page.

Thanks as always.

Ad:

Black 1993 100CS Quattro 5-speed with black leather interior. 116k miles. Body has nicks and dings here and there, interior is almost completely flawless.

Very well maintained by NYC dealers and Adria Motors (German car specialist in Long Island City, NY). Sunroof, heated seats, alarm, electric mirrors, on and on. Includes 2001 A4 10 spoke, 16-inch wheels, K&N air filter, EBC Green Stuff dust-free front and rear pads, synthetic brake and hydraulic fluids, recent oil change (always Mobil 1).

Spent thousands over the past 3 years on extreme preventative maintenance and parts replacements including new water pump, cylinder heads, valve cover gaskets, all belts, radiator, hoses, 1 fuel injector, fuel pump, hall sender, oil pressure relieve valves and more.

Previous employer paid all expenses so I spared none. Have pics if interested. Must sell, getting another Audi. Asking $7,000, and I have a carfax report. Call Bill evenings at (cell) 917 861-2268.

Sell the wheels on e-bay, because it's not gonna make that car worth any more.

In addition, the market for used is terrible now, so I'd definitely say $7000 OBO, and see what happens.

The dealers know the market is in the tank for that car as well, so if you're serious about trading, you'd better get some lube.

Have you thought about donation?

if i had huge capital gains to offset, that would be a great idea. i'll try the 'runs till it sells' offer on auto trader and see what happens. thanks for the feedback.
