Has anyone experienced any instances of losing power on the highway? I have had a check engine light on for over 20,000 miles with many failed attempts at permanently fixing the cause, including vacuum hoses and sensors. It happens when I accelerate on the highway - three times I had the car shake violently and lose power for 15 to 30 seconds- not fun going from 60 to 0 on Rt 128. Pass and Weisz just replaced the CAT last week, but the car still doesn't feel right when I accelerate with a partial loss of power. Could it be the coil packs? Any other ideas?

Could be bad soilder job of the chip, or faulty mass air sensor. Does the engine just quit on you, and you have to re-start the car?

It hasn't totally quit on me since the new Catalytic converter, but when I am on the highway and want to pass, I put my foot on the gas and get no acceleration. The dealer replaced the mass air sensor two weeks before they replaced the Cat. Thanks for the ideas.

if P&W unplugged the battery, it probably defualted to stock mode. APR tends to put the stock program in slot one. So if the power was yanked, you are probably back in stock mode.

Come to Fudds sunday for lunch and we can vag it and take a look.

http://www.bostonaudi.org/boston_meeting/lunch17.html</a
