Does anyone knows if the 2000 Audi S4 comes prewired with the connector for the cd changer in the trunk. The only one the I found was a connector that looks like a computer type one, probably 25 or more pins. I was told that I should have a 13 pin round connector. If you own a 2000 S4, can you please reply to this one.
I just bought a CD changer from a private party with the 13 Pin round connector that came out of a 2001 S4 and need to install it.
May be it is tuck somewhere where I can't see it.
Please email me at john.fontes@pollak.com
Thanks

John,
The computer-type connector that you located is for you OEM cellphone. Your S4 was prewired from the factory for a cellphone. This is not the connector that you are seeking.

If you look in the drivers-side rear compartment on your S4 you should be able to find it. It might require some digging around with your hands. It will be there.

I have a 2001 A6 and I was in the same boat as you. My A6 didn't come with the OEM CD changer but was prewired for one. Don't forget to use the factory OEM (4) screws to attach the CD changer to the metal bracket. Clairparts will have these for $2 (total).

I would also post on the S4 forum. There is a lot of knowledgeable S4 owners who can help.

Good luck!
