i just discovered this site a few days ago. i'm considering buying an A4 Avant, probably a '99 or '00, and i need some advice.

(1). what dealers do you recommend in eastern MA?
(2). what options do people consider "must haves" on this car? i'm looking for a 1.8 with a 5sp, but i'm not sure which options are must have vs. nice to have.
(3). anyone have any reliability problems with their A4? the car seems to get good reviews, but i'm wondering if there are any common problems i should be aware of.
(4). anyone travel with a dog in their A4? i have a BIG dog, and i'm wondering if there's enough room and if he'll be comfortable travelling in the back.

thanks!

others really like Clair in Boston/West Roxbury. As far as options fo, I think factory xenons are a must. I didn't think so at the time, but looking back I do. Sport package is nice if you don't plan to mod the suspension. In new england heated seats are an amazing option. I can't live without them now. Just my thoughts.
