Hello fellow Audi freeks.I am a new owner(2 weeks)of a 1999 A4 1.8T Quattro 5sp,sport package and cold weather package and would like to persuade more power out of her.I am about 1hr20min from Adrenalin and was wondering if any of you have had any work done by them.I went up there last week to poke around and they were very helpfull.Just curious what type of experience you've had with them and what your views of the company is.Im looking to do a chip and filter to start and then who knows,probably exhaust and BOV after.Thanks for any comments or suggestions and most importantly,your time.

the fact that they charge labor for a chip install is bogus to me. I'd prefer going out of my way to Shine. Shine has GIAC chips, Adrenalin has APR. Both are good to me. I knwo a lot of people had issues with Adrenalin during dyno day a few months ago, bogus dyno numbers and they still got charged in full with no apology or attemt to make things right. In my book that is a reason to black flag them and to give my business to someone I trust...aka Dick Shine. But that's jsut my opinion so take it for what it's worth.

...but they kept giving me the run-around on when the product would be coming in. also, they didn't seem to know too much about the product they were selling (a new clutch kit)...initially told me it had a 12 pound lightened flywheel...then changed the story and said it had an 8 pound lightened flywheel. etc. i just didn't like the vibe i got from them, and decided to have someone else do the work.

they did a good job, but i wasn't thrilled with the they way they treated me. i was planning on going there for all my mods but i got different answers to the same questions on the phone, and what i came to realize as BS labor quotes (IMO). One of the guys there was also a dick to me when I wandered in to watch them chipping my car, since it was taking so long. some of the guys are real cool though.

I drove from CT to get my car chipped there. I got bad vibes from Adrenalin. Shine will let you watch them chip your car. Dick Shine is the owner and he is a really nice guy. He also chipped my last car. 01 GTI VR6

Anyone have a web addy or phone # to reach Shine...I'm thinkin about a chip myself and charging almost 100 bucks to install a chip is a real kick in the pants. Anyone know how long a drive to Shine from , say...Hartford?
